Youngistaan is a 2014 Indian coming-of-age film based on contemporary Indian politics. The movie stars Jackky Bhagnani as Abhimanyu Kaul, a young Indian who has been raised in Tokyo by his grandfather, the Prime Minister of India, and his wife Anwita Chauhan played by Neha Sharma. When Abhimanyu's grandfather dies suddenly, he is called back to India and is unexpectedly thrust into the political spotlight as he is sworn in as the Prime Minister of India.

As the youngest Prime Minister in the history of India, Abhimanyu is initially bewildered by the burden of his new responsibilities. As he settles into his new role, he begins to discover the complexities of running a country, including dealing with political opposition, cabinet ministers with differing agendas and opinions, public expectations, and international relationships. Abhimanyu is shocked to learn that he has inherited a country that is rife with corruption and poverty.

In the midst of his struggles to navigate the treacherous waters of Indian politics, Abhimanyu also struggles to balance his personal life with the demands of his position. His relationship with his girlfriend, Anwita, is tested when she returns to Japan to pursue her career while he continues to lead India. The pressures of his position also force him to spend less time with his family and friends, leading to further strain on his relationships.

Despite the challenges, Abhimanyu remains committed to his ideals of honesty, transparency, and progress. He faces opposition from his own cabinet members who want to preserve the status quo, with some even plotting to remove him from office. However, Abhimanyu perseveres and begins to make significant changes to improve the lives of Indian citizens. He prioritizes education and employment for young people, revolutionizes the country's infrastructure, and creates schemes to combat poverty.

Throughout the film, the audience is treated to glimpses of the Indian political scenario along with the perspective of a young leader who is ready to make a change. The film portrays the difficulties of being a young and inexperienced politician, and how it is not always easy to take the road less traveled in a world completely different from the one you were born and raised in.

The film also highlights the important role played by youth in driving social and political change. The term "Youngistaan" is coined in the movie to represent the rise of the youth in the country and their desire for change. Abhimanyu embodies this spirit, and together with his young team, they work towards creating a new India with more opportunities, growth and prosperity.

Overall, Youngistaan is an inspiring and thought-provoking movie that takes a fresh look at Indian politics and the role of youth in shaping the future of the country. The movie strikes an optimistic tone, suggesting that India's future is bright as long as there are young people like Abhimanyu who are willing to step up and make a difference.

Youngistaan is a 2014 drama with a runtime of 2 hours and 13 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.2.
