Ep 2. Episode 2
Jin Seon-mi, the girl who can see ghosts and demons, continues to see supernatural beings even when she is living in the United States. She returns to Korea and meets up with Oh-gong, a powerful deity who is presently in exile. Oh-gong is known for being difficult to deal with and has a harsh personality, but Jin Seon-mi is a strong-willed individual and isn’t afraid to deal with him.
The two of them come to an agreement to work together. Oh-gong tells Jin Seon-mi about a wraith that has been wreaking havoc in the city. The wraith has been harming male individuals, leaving them lifeless and burnt. The two of them decide to team up to find this beast before it can do any more damage.
As they are searching for the wraith, they come across a man named Jeo Pal-gye who claims to have been attacked by the wraith. He tells them about the scars he received and warns them about the power of the wraith. They decide to use this information and set up a trap for the wraith during its next attack.
Jin Seon-mi and Oh-gong wait patiently in the shadows, as the wraith materializes and starts to attack its next victim. As soon as it does, they leap into action. The wraith is fast and elusive, but Oh-gong is powerful and manages to temporarily capture the wraith. They find out that the wraith is feeding on the victims’ energies to keep itself alive.
The episode then takes a more personal turn as we learn about Jin Seon-mi’s past. We see her as an innocent child who was cursed by a demon, which continued to haunt her into adulthood. The demon's curse caused her to be different from others as she could see ghosts and demons, and her life as a result had been very challenging.
Despite the difficulties, Jin Seon-mi is a strong individual and is determined to use her abilities to help people, but she needs help fighting the demons that try to hurt her. She realizes that Oh-gong can be of great help in this capacity, and this is one of the reasons she decides to team up with him.
Towards the end of the episode, we see Oh-gong and Jin Seon-mi decoding the text that they found while searching for the wraith. They find out that the Black Dragon King has woken up, and this could mean chaos for the world. This leaves them with more questions than answers, but they decide to investigate further.
The episode ends with Jin Seon-mi and Oh-gong getting into an argument over how to deal with the Black Dragon King. They both have different perspectives on the situation and aren’t able to find common ground. This leaves the fate of the world uncertain as we are left wondering what will happen next.
