Ep 4. The Perfect Storm

After a heart-wrenching third episode, A Million Little Things returns with another gut-wrenching installment that sees the friends continue to try and make sense of what happened to Jon. Meanwhile, there’s also some big developments in Maggie’s story that threaten to derail her life even further.

The Perfect Storm picks up right where last week left off, with Delilah trying to navigate the collapsed marriage between her and Jon, all the while trying to keep his secrets hidden from the rest of the group. As she tries her best to keep it together, the group comes together to help her out in any way possible. This leads them all down a challenging path, with each of the friends having to confront their own issues.

As always with A Million Little Things, the central relationship in the series is between Gary and Maggie. While Gary has been doing his best to be supportive of Maggie, he’s finding it incredibly difficult to adjust and move forward from what she’s been through. The two of them end up having a massive fight over the direction of their relationship, with Maggie questioning whether or not they can continue in their current state.

Elsewhere, Rome finally gets his chance to direct an ad for PJ, but struggles with a lack of creative vision. Meanwhile, things between PJ and his mother take a darker turn, with revelations starting to come to light that threaten to completely change his life.

Overall, The Perfect Storm is one of the best episodes of the series so far, mixing the show’s trademark emotional depth with some impressive set-pieces and well-executed storylines. While it’s not always easy to watch, there are some truly heart-warming moments that any fan of the series will appreciate, making it a must-watch for anyone following the show.
