Aerial America is a television series that showcases the United States through impressive aerial footage. In season 1 episode 3 titled Virginia, viewers are taken on a breathtaking journey through the state of Virginia, from the coast to the mountains.

The episode begins with a stunning view of Virginia Beach and the Atlantic Ocean. Viewers are taken on a thrilling ride with the Navy's Blue Angels, as they perform their incredible aerial stunts over the famous beach. The journey then continues to the state's capital, Richmond, where viewers are taken on a tour of the city's historic landmarks, including the Virginia State Capitol building, designed by Thomas Jefferson, which is the oldest working capitol in the United States. Richmond is also famous for its proximity to Appomattox, the location where Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant, marking the end of the Civil War. Viewer are treated to a birds-eye view of the treed parkland where the surrender took place and it is truly awe-inspiring.

The episode reveals the state's many hidden treasures, including the incredible Virginia Museum of Fine Arts located in Richmond, the beautiful Norfolk Botanical Gardens, and the historic Monticello mansion. Viewers are given a new perspective on the state's unique culture, as well as its pulsating energy.
