Ep 13. The Day Before Tomorrow

All Hail King Julien season 1 episode 13, titled "The Day Before Tomorrow," begins with King Julien feeling anxious about the arrival of the "end of the world." As he and his loyal subjects gather in his throne room, Maurice reminds him that the prophecy they've been fearing has been proven false time and time again. Despite this, King Julien can't shake the feeling that something catastrophic is about to happen.

Meanwhile, the lemurs' mortal enemies, the Foosa, are also preparing for the "end of the world" by stockpiling food and weapons. King Julien's advisor, Sage, points out that the Foosa are acting suspiciously and that they may be planning an attack. King Julien orders his troops to prepare for battle, but he still can't shake the feeling that there's something he's forgetting.

It's only when the night of the supposed apocalypse arrives that King Julien remembers what it is - he never got to finish his bucket list. With the world about to end, he's determined to live the rest of his life to the fullest. He embarks on a wild, whirlwind adventure through the jungle, ticking off items on his list left and right.

Meanwhile, his loyal subjects are preparing for the worst. Mort has assembled an emergency kit and is urging the other lemurs to shelter in place. Clover is ready to fight off the Foosa at a moment's notice, while Maurice and Sage are busy coming up with a last-ditch plan to save everyone.

As the night wears on, King Julien's exploits become increasingly dangerous and border on the absurd. He leaps off waterfalls, skydives from trees, and rides on the back of a giant, carnivorous bird. All the while, his army of loyal lemurs grow more and more worried that he won't make it back in time to save them from the impending doom.

Finally, as dawn breaks and the supposed apocalypse fails to materialize, King Julien realizes that in his rush to complete his bucket list, he's forgotten what really matters - his friends and family. He rushes back to his throne room, where he finds his subjects huddled together, safe but terrified. He realizes that he's been so preoccupied with his own selfish desires that he's neglected his duty as a king.

In a heartfelt moment, King Julien apologizes to his subjects and promises to do better moving forward. He may have missed out on some crazy adventures, but he's learned that his true happiness comes from those he loves and the responsibilities he has to his people. As the sun rises on a new day, King Julien's reign continues, filled with all the adventure and excitement he could ever want, but with a newfound appreciation for the people who make it all possible.
