In American Horror Story season 8 episode 1 titled "The End," viewers are transported to a post-apocalyptic world where a nuclear blast has destroyed most of humanity. The episode opens with a young man, Timmy (Kyle Allen), frantically trying to get inside a bunker as a mushroom cloud looms in the distance. Inside the bunker, a group of survivors have come together to ride out the end of the world. Among them are Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt (Leslie Grossman), a self-absorbed heiress; her personal assistant, Mallory (Billie Lourd); her hairdresser, Mr. Gallant (Evan Peters); and his grandmother, Evie (Joan Collins).

It quickly becomes clear that life in the bunker is not easy. There are limited supplies and tensions run high as the group tries to figure out how long they will have to stay underground. The bunker's leader, Wilhemina Venable (Sarah Paulson), has a strict set of rules that everyone must follow. Those who break the rules face severe consequences, including being banished to the "outside" world where it is assumed they will die from radiation poisoning.

As the days pass, the group grows restless and starts to turn on each other. Coco becomes increasingly hysterical and demands better accommodations, while Mr. Gallant starts to lash out at Evie. Mallory, on the other hand, seems to be keeping a level head and remains quiet throughout most of the episode.

Meanwhile, a mysterious figure known only as "The Cooperative" sends a team of scientists to the bunker to conduct interviews with the survivors. The interviews are eerie and ominous, leaving the group to wonder what fate awaits them.

As the episode reaches its dramatic conclusion, viewers are left with several cliffhangers. Who is The Cooperative, and what do they want with the survivors? Will anyone be brave enough to venture outside and see what's left of the world? And perhaps most importantly, how long can these people survive in such cramped and stressful conditions?

Overall, "The End" sets the stage for what promises to be a gripping and terrifying season of American Horror Story. The post-apocalyptic setting allows for plenty of opportunities to explore themes of survival, morality, and the human psyche. The cast, as always, does a fantastic job of bringing their characters to life and making viewers care about their struggles. If you're a fan of horror or post-apocalyptic stories, this is definitely an episode worth watching.
