Ep 8. Dancer in the Dark

In the eighth episode of the first season of Angel Beats!, titled "Dancer in the Dark," the story further delves into the background and motivations of Yuri, the founder of the rebel group, SSS. When a new member, a girl named Kanade, joins their ranks, Yuri assigns her a task of finding information on Angel, the student council president, whom they believe to be their enemy.

Meanwhile, Yui, another member of SSS, convinces Otonashi, the protagonist, to join her in forming a band to perform at a school event. As they practice, they learn that they all have deeply personal connections to music and performing.

As the date of the event draws near, the drama between the two groups reaches a boiling point. Kanade's findings about Angel put her loyalty and intentions into question, while SSS's plan to disrupt the event threatens to affect not only themselves, but also the other students and faculty.
