Ep 6. Afternoon Delight

Michael, still trying to prove to his father that he can successfully run the Bluth Company, makes a shocking discovery when he finds out that George Sr. has been secretly using the company's funds to pay for the legal fees and bail for the man he allegedly killed, Lucille Austero's husband. Michael confronts his father about this, but George Sr. insists that he's innocent and that he needs to keep his legal fees paid in order to fight the charges against him.

Meanwhile, Tobias and Lindsay decide to reignite their love life by performing a song at the annual Bluth Company Christmas party, but their plan is derailed when they accidentally eat a batch of marijuana-laced candy. As they stumble around in a drug-induced haze, they encounter several of the party guests, including Gob, who is trying to win over the affections of a new employee, Kitty, by offering her a promotion. However, when Kitty's boyfriend arrives at the party, Gob is forced to improvise a new plan to win her over.

Elsewhere, Buster becomes enamored with a seal that has taken up residence in the Bluth Company's storage unit, which he sees as a sign that his late mother Lucille is watching over him. He asks George Michael to help him rescue the seal and set it free, but their plan goes awry when they accidentally release several other animals as well.

As the party winds down and the guests begin to leave, Michael finds himself at a crossroads as he contemplates whether to continue trying to prove himself to his father or to strike out on his own and build a new life for himself outside of the family business.

With its signature blend of zany humor and biting social commentary, "Afternoon Delight" showcases Arrested Development at its wackiest and most subversive, as the Bluth family once again finds itself in a series of absurd and often surreal situations that test their loyalty, their fortitude, and their sanity.
