It Gets Better is the thirteenth and final episode of the fourth season of Arrested Development. This episode focuses on the aftermath of the Bluth family's failed movie project and the various schemes and misadventures that unfold as a result.

The episode begins with Michael Bluth (played by Jason Bateman) waking up in the stair car, having spent the night there after being kicked out of his son's dorm room. Michael is still reeling from the emotional fallout of his recent romantic encounter with Rebel Alley (played by Isla Fisher), as well as the financial ruin caused by his failed movie venture. He seeks comfort from his sister, Lindsay (played by Portia de Rossi), but finds that she is too preoccupied with her own problems to offer much support.

Meanwhile, George-Michael (played by Michael Cera) is dealing with his own heartbreak, having broken up with his girlfriend Ann (played by Mae Whitman) after learning that they are actually cousins. He decides to take a job with his father's company, but quickly realizes that he is in over his head and struggles to prove himself to his coworkers.

Tobias (played by David Cross), who has been living in the Bluth family model home, decides to stage a one-man show about his life and struggles with masculinity. The show is poorly received, but Tobias refuses to give up on his dream of becoming an actor.

As the episode progresses, the various members of the Bluth family come together to confront their problems and support each other. Michael and Lindsay reconcile after a heartfelt conversation, while George-Michael manages to impress his co-workers by standing up to his father. Tobias eventually gives up on his acting dreams and decides to focus on his family instead.

The episode ends with the Bluth family coming together to attend a Cinco de Cuatro celebration, where they put on a disastrous magic show that ends in chaos. Despite their many struggles and setbacks, the family remains as dysfunctional as ever, but also closer and more resilient than they were before.

Overall, It Gets Better is a fitting end to the fourth season of Arrested Development, offering a blend of humor, heart, and poignant character moments. It is a reminder that no matter how ridiculous and dysfunctional a family may be, there is always the potential for growth, change, and redemption.
