Ep 8. Road Rage Paige

Sam, Casey and Zahid decide to take a road trip in order to clear their minds from recent events. As they hit the road, they come across a truck that cuts them off on the highway, causing Sam to experience a meltdown.

Feeling guilty about his outburst and worried about the impending consequences, Sam confides in Paige back home. She offers to help by revisiting some of the techniques they learned in therapy to help him manage his emotions. Meanwhile, back on the road, Casey and Zahid are now left to continue the journey alone.

As they drive, Casey tries to connect with Zahid on a deeper level by sharing some personal details about herself and Sam. Zahid reciprocates by presenting his own family struggles and urging Casey to try to see things from her mother's perspective.

As they reach their destination, Casey realizes that Zahid has a deeper understanding of her than she had initially given him credit for. With Zahid's encouragement, Casey makes an effort to reconcile with her mother and improve their relationship.

Back in town, Sam is slowly but surely regaining his composure with Paige's guidance. After successfully taking public transportation and facing his fears, Sam finally confronts the truck driver who caused the earlier meltdown. In doing so, Sam learns a valuable lesson about self-advocacy and standing up for oneself.

The episode concludes with Casey returning home and trying to implement the lessons she learned on her trip. She starts to work on her relationship with her mother and also shows support for Sam, who remains determined to continue growing and improving.
