Roar is a television series that debuted in 2022, offering a quirky and unique take on life's challenges. Each episode follows a different character, providing a glimpse into their unusual and often surreal experiences. From a woman who returns her husband to the supermarket to a model who escapes an oppressive relationship, the show explores a range of themes and topics.

The first episode introduces viewers to Wanda, an author whose groundbreaking memoir is about to be adapted into a Hollywood movie. However, upon arriving in LA and staying in a luxurious $15,000,000 mansion, she feels invisible and dismissed by those around her. Wanda's ideas are ignored by the movie industry, who instead want to pursue VR technology. The stress of the situation triggers memories of her father's arrest, and Wanda decides to walk away.

In the second episode, Nicole Kidman plays a mother who feels lost as her children have grown up and her mother has dementia. To cope with her issues, Nicole eats photographs, reliving each memory as she does. Eventually, she brings her mother to live with her and prepares for the future.

Amelia, a promising model, meets Harry, a wealthy businessman who becomes obsessed with her. Harry wants Amelia to be placed on a shelf so he can watch her every day. Initially, the idea works, but Harry soon grows bored and the relationship deteriorates. Amelia escapes and opens her own store, where she remains sitting on a shelf.

In "The Woman Who Found Bite Marks on Her Skin," Ambia gives birth in a traumatic experience that nearly costs her life. She quickly returns to work, eager to please everyone around her, but the stress takes a toll, and bite marks begin appearing on her body. Ambia ends up in the hospital, where she meets other mothers in similar situations, helping her realize that she's not alone.

Elisa, feeling the pressure of being single, falls for a duck called Larry. At first, the relationship boosts her confidence, but Larry soon becomes abusive, belittling Elisa and trying to isolate her from others. Following a heart-to-heart with her sister, Elisa calls pet control on Larry and regains her independence.

In the sixth episode, Rebecca Moss's ghost tries to help detectives solve the mystery of her murder. As she's unaware of why or who killed her, Rebecca initially suspects her cheating ex-boyfriend. Still, she soon shifts her focus to her best friend's younger brother, Chad, who killed her. After locating evidence proving Chad's guilt, Rebecca can finally cross over to the afterlife.

In "The Woman Who Returned Her Husband," Anu returns her husband to the supermarket after growing tired of his behavior. However, she's unhappy with his replacement and tries again to find a suitable partner. Eventually, she realizes that both she and her former husband were to blame for the decline of their relationship. Anu "steals" Vik from the supermarket, and they start an exciting new life together.
