Detective Liz Garvey continues her investigation into the Met Police's use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in episode 3 of Babylon, titled "2.0." With the AI system "C-3PO" garnering increasing public scrutiny, Liz has her work cut out for her as she tries to uncover the truth about how the technology is being used.

Meanwhile, Commissioner Richard Miller is feeling the pressure from both the public and his superiors to show that the Met is making progress with its AI program. He enlists the help of a PR firm, Dubuque and Deering, to clean up the Met's image and combat negative press. However, things quickly take a turn for the worse when the PR firm's tactics become increasingly sinister and the public's distrust of the police deepens.

Elsewhere, we see the continuing struggles of the IT department, who are trying to keep up with the demands of the police force while facing budget cuts and a lack of resources. RoboCop, the IT team's robot assistant, proves helpful in this regard, but tensions rise when the robot's AI becomes more advanced and it starts to act more like a human.

In "2.0," Babylon further explores the dangers and ethical concerns that arise with the increasing use of AI in law enforcement. The episode grapples with questions such as: What happens when we rely too heavily on technology? How can we ensure that the use of AI is ethical and just? And who is ultimately responsible for the consequences of a flawed system?

At its core, though, Babylon is a character-driven drama that doesn't shy away from tackling complex social and political issues. The show's large ensemble cast is made up of nuanced, fully-realized characters, each with their own motives and ideologies. In "2.0," we see the continued development of these characters, as well as the introduction of some new faces who will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in the show's ongoing narrative.

Overall, "2.0" is a gripping and thought-provoking episode that continues to build on the show's strong foundation. It's a must-watch for anyone interested in the intersection of technology and law enforcement, and for fans of character-driven dramas that aren't afraid to tackle big issues.
