Bondi Vet is an Australian reality tv show that follows veterinarian Dr. Chris Brown as he works at the Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital in Sydney, Australia. The second season of the show focuses on Dr. Chris's day-to-day life as a vet and the different animals he comes across in his job.
In season 2 episode 5, titled "Alligator Exam," Dr. Chris is faced with a unique challenge when he receives a call from a man who has recently acquired a baby alligator. The man is becoming concerned about the alligator's health and wants to bring it in to see Dr. Chris.
Dr. Chris knows that alligators are not native to Australia and that they require special attention and care. He arranges for the man to bring the alligator in for a check-up, but he is not sure what to expect.
When the man arrives with the alligator, Dr. Chris is surprised to see that the alligator is only a few months old and is only about the size of a small dog. Nevertheless, Dr. Chris takes the alligator into his care and gives it a full exam.
During the exam, Dr. Chris measures the alligator's weight and length and checks its vital signs. He also looks at the alligator's teeth and mouth to make sure they are healthy. Finally, he takes a blood sample to check for any potential health issues.
Despite being a bit nervous about handling an alligator, Dr. Chris manages to complete the exam without incident. He advises the man to be careful with the alligator and to make sure it is properly housed and fed.
Later in the episode, Dr. Chris receives another call about an unusual animal. This time, it's a pet duck that has been attacked by a dog. The duck is badly injured, with multiple wounds on its back.
Dr. Chris rushes to the scene and takes the duck back to the clinic. He examines the wounds and determines that the duck will need stitches. He administers anesthesia to the duck and begins to clean and stitch up its wounds.
As he works, Dr. Chris explains that ducks can be tricky to work with because they have a very delicate respiratory system. He takes extra care to make sure the duck is breathing properly throughout the procedure.
After the surgery, Dr. Chris advises the duck's owner to keep it confined for a few days until the wounds have healed and the duck is feeling better.
Overall, this episode of Bondi Vet showcases the skill and expertise of Dr. Chris as he deals with two very different animal cases. From handling an alligator to performing surgery on a duck, Dr. Chris proves that he is up to any challenge that comes his way.
