Build It Bigger is a show about engineering marvels, fascinating structures and the ambitious projects that go into their creation. In season 2 episode 2, entitled "Battle Machines", the show will uncover the latest machines being developed by the military, revolutionizing battlefield performances.

The episode takes us to Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, one of the most extensive weapons-testing facilities in the world. This facility is the place where weapons of all types are tested, and engineers are constantly working on new and improved weaponry. Our host, Danny Forster, will be exploring a new class of highly mobile combat vehicles that the US military hopes will be a game-changer.

Danny will meet the team of engineers, designers and army personnel behind these new machines. They are being developed with the twin goals of mobility and firepower. The team will explain the design decisions behind these vehicles and the challenges they faced.

The first machine Danny will look at is the Ground Mobility Vehicle (GMV), a vehicle that is something of a cross between a buggy and a Humvee. It is designed to rapidly move special forces troops and their equipment into and out of combat zones. Its unique design enables it to traverse a variety of terrains with ease -- from mountains and swamps to deserts and urban areas. Danny will test-drive one of these vehicles himself, putting its capabilities to the test on the firing range.

Next, Danny will examine the Chockmobile, a vehicle designed for moving and transporting various heavy artillery equipment around the battlefield. The M777 Howitzer, which is a lightweight field howitzer, is transported by this vehicle. Danny will see the vehicle in action -- and learn how the multi-ton gun is loaded, transported, and unloaded.

Finally, Danny will explore the artillery itself. Engineers are developing new and more powerful weapons, including the Army’s new Excalibur Howitzer. This self-guided, highly-accurate weapon has a range of over 30 miles and is capable of destroying targets with pinpoint accuracy.

Throughout the Battle Machines episode, Forster will showcase the latest and most advanced weapons technology being developed by the US military. It’s a fascinating glimpse into the future of combat, as the military works to ensure that it stays ahead of those who would threaten the United States’ security.

The episode concludes with a behind-the-scenes look at how these machines are developed and tested. Engineers regularly encounter unexpected problems, which require immediate solutions before the machines can be put into action. Danny will discuss how the engineering team overcomes these obstacles to produce this next generation of advanced weaponry.

Overall, "Battle Machines" provides viewers with an in-depth look at the machines that are created with a goal of saving lives, protecting the United States, and helping the military stay one step ahead of its adversaries. It showcases the dedication, hard work and expertise of the individuals who are working on these projects, and demonstrates just how much effort goes into developing these cutting-edge weapons.
