Classic Doctor Who Season 11 Episode 15 The Monster of Peladon: Part 1

On the planet Peladon, tensions are high between the native Peladians and the Galactic Federation, who have a mining operation on the planet. When the Doctor and Jo arrive, they find themselves caught in the middle of the conflict. The Peladians believe that a monster is responsible for the recent deaths of miners, and the Doctor agrees to help investigate.

As they delve deeper into the mystery, the Doctor and Jo discover that there is more to the situation than meets the eye. The mining company's leader, Eckersley, seems to have his own agenda, and the Peladians themselves are not without their own secrets.

Meanwhile, the Doctor must work to win over the trust of the Peladians, who are skeptical of outsiders. He forms a bond with the young Peladian prince, but even that may not be enough to save him when the true nature of the monster is revealed.
