Ep 14. The Android Invasion: Part 2

The Android Invasion is the final episode of season 13 of Classic Doctor Who, and it is the second part of a two-part adventure that began with the previous episode, The Android Invasion: Part 1.

The story takes place in a small English village called Devesham, which has been completely taken over by androids that look identical to the villagers. The Fourth Doctor and his companion Sarah-Jane Smith find themselves in the middle of this enigma and must work to uncover the truth behind what's happening. In Part 1, they discover that the inhabitants of the nearby Space Defense Station have been replaced by androids, and their mission is to prepare for an invasion of Earth.

In Part 2, the Doctor and Sarah-Jane continue their investigation and manage to find a crashed spaceship in the village. They enter the craft and discover that the androids are being controlled by a group of aliens called the Kraals. The Kraals, who have been observing and studying humans for years, have decided to invade Earth and use their androids to take over the planet.

The Doctor and Sarah-Jane are captured by the Kraals and taken to their underground base, where they find an android replica of the Doctor himself. Using all of his wit and cunning, the Doctor manages to escape and attempts to shut down the Kraals' operation. At the same time, Sarah-Jane discovers the real Space Defense Station, which has been hidden in plain sight, and contacts them to alert them to the situation.

With the help of the Space Defense Station, the Doctor is able to thwart the Kraals' invasion plan and deactivate all of the androids. The Kraals attempt to escape in their spaceship, but the Doctor sabotages it, causing it to explode. The Doctor and Sarah-Jane escape just in time, and the village is returned to normal.

The Android Invasion is a classic Doctor Who adventure that encapsulates everything that made the show so iconic. The story is full of twists and turns, and the aliens are suitably menacing. Tom Baker is at his best as the Doctor, using his intelligence and wit to outsmart his enemies. Sarah-Jane Smith, played by Elisabeth Sladen, is also given plenty to do, and her resourcefulness and bravery are on full display throughout the episode.

Overall, The Android Invasion: Part 2 is a thrilling conclusion to a classic Doctor Who adventure and is a must-watch for fans of the show.
