The Talons of Weng-Chiang: Part 3 is the twenty-third episode of the fourteenth season of the classic British science fiction television show, Doctor Who.
The episode continues the adventure of the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) and his companion Leela (Louise Jameson) as they investigate mysterious disappearances and violent murders in Victorian London. They discover that the sinister Magnus Greel (Michael Spice), an alien war criminal from the 51st century, is behind the crimes. He has been using a time cabinet to travel back in time and is now hiding in 19th century London, posing as the Chinese god Weng-Chiang.
In this episode, the Doctor and Leela are searching for the missing Professor Litefoot (Trevor Baxter), whose last known whereabouts was at Greel's secret lair. They infiltrate the lair and encounter Greel's henchmen, the dangerous and intelligent Mr. Sin (Deep Roy) and the ruthless guard Chang (John Bennett).
Meanwhile, Litefoot is being tortured by Greel, who is desperate to learn the location of the time cabinet. Litefoot refuses to give in, despite the pain.
As the Doctor and Leela make their way through the lair, they encounter various deadly traps and obstacles. But their most terrifying challenge comes when they come face to face with Greel himself. He is disfigured and grotesque, the result of a failed attempt to use the time cabinet and transfer his mind into a new body. Greel is insane and determined to use the time cabinet to travel further back in time and rule the world as a god.
The Doctor realizes that the lair is also home to a miniaturized laboratory that produces clones of Greel's deformed body. He takes advantage of this fact and manages to steal one of Greel's bodies. He swaps it with Litefoot, allowing the professor to escape while disguised as Greel.
The Doctor and Leela then take Litefoot back to his home, where they plan their next move. But they soon discover that they are being pursued by Chang and Mr. Sin, who have been sent to retrieve the time cabinet and eliminate any witnesses. A thrilling chase ensues, with the Doctor and his friends barely managing to escape with their lives. They are forced to split up, with Leela leading Chang away from the others while the Doctor and Litefoot confront Mr. Sin.
The episode ends on a cliffhanger as Mr. Sin corners the Doctor and aims his weapon at him. It is unclear if the Doctor will survive the encounter.
The Talons of Weng-Chiang: Part 3 is a gripping and action-packed episode that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The intricate plot, complex characters, and stunning set designs transport viewers to the atmospheric and dangerous world of Victorian London. It is a must-see for fans of classic Doctor Who.
