Classic Doctor Who Season 17 Episode 13 Nightmare of Eden: Part 1

The Doctor and Romana have arrived on a spaceship, the Empress, which is on a routine mission to collect two zoological specimens from the planet Eden. However, as they arrive, they find themselves in the middle of a crisis as the ship is caught in a web-like substance that is slowing it down. The crew suspects that their ship has collided with another vessel in the hyperspace, but the Doctor and Romana have a different theory.

Upon investigating, the Doctor and Romana find that the web-like substance is actually a physical manifestation of another universe, overlapping with the Empress' universe as a result of an experiment gone wrong. As the two universes start to collide, the crew of the Empress find themselves facing not only the danger of the colliding universes, but also rampant drug trafficking on board the ship.

The Empress’ captain, Rigg, is reluctant to believe that there is anything wrong with the ship and refuses to share information about the drug trafficking with the Doctor and Romana. They also run into Tryst, a collector of zoological specimens, who proposes a trade of his own specimens for the ones that the Empress' crew are collecting from Eden.

As the situation on board the Empress grows more dire, the Doctor and Romana must unravel the tangled web of lies and deceit that surround them. They must work quickly to prevent the collision of the two universes, while also getting to the bottom of the drug trafficking scheme that is threatening to tear the Empress apart.

With time running out and the crew growing increasingly desperate, the Doctor and Romana will need to use all their cunning and expertise to save the ship and everyone on board from the Nightmare of Eden.
