The Space Museum is an episode from the second season of Classic Doctor Who. The episode takes place in the year 3999 where the TARDIS has landed on the planet Xeros. The TARDIS crew of the First Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Vicki discover a mysterious museum in a state of disarray, as if all the exhibits have been abandoned in a hurry. There, they stumble upon a room where they see themselves as future exhibits, meaning that they will soon be captured by the planet’s inhabitants.

The crew is then separated, with Ian and Barbara being taken prisoner by the Morok invaders while the Doctor and Vicki slip away unnoticed. Ian and Barbara are imprisoned with a group of Xerons, a native species on the planet. The Moroks are a group of conquerors from another planet who have taken over the planet, reducing the Xerons to a state of subservience.

As Ian and Barbara plan their escape, they observe the Xerons communicating through Morse code. They learn that the Xerons are planning a revolution against their Morok oppressors. Meanwhile, the Doctor and Vicki explore the museum, which is home to a variety of alien artefacts as well as a time/space vessel. The Doctor realises that the TARDIS, which has somehow been placed in a stasis field, must also be on display.

The Doctor, still being pursued by the Moroks, impersonates one of their commanders in order to gain access to their computer system. There, he discovers that the Moroks have already conquered Earth, which they had visited in their time/space vessel during the Doctor's absence. The Doctor is horrified and tries to find a way to prevent Earth's future invasion, but he must deal with the Moroks first.

Meanwhile, Ian and Barbara lead the Xeron revolt against the Moroks, which culminates in a battle inside the museum. Vicki helps by using the Xerons injured in the conflict to overload the Morok weapons, causing them to implode. When the dust settles, the TARDIS crew reunites and prepares to leave the planet.

The Space Museum is a thrilling episode that combines time travel, science fiction, and action. It explores relevant themes like oppression, colonization, and revolution. The episode is not only entertaining but also thought-provoking, making it a must-see for sci-fi and Doctor Who fans.
