The Power of the Daleks: Episode 5 is the thirteenth and final episode of the fourth season of Classic Doctor Who. This episode continues the story of the Second Doctor and his companions as they try to stop the Daleks from taking over a human colony on the planet Vulcan.
As the episode begins, the Daleks have taken over the colony and are producing new Daleks using a machine called the Reproduction Apparatus. The Doctor and his companions, Ben and Polly, are trying to find a way to stop the Daleks from creating more of their kind.
The Doctor decides to create a distraction by using a disused power complex to create an explosion. While the Daleks are distracted, the Doctor, Ben and Polly sneak into the Reproduction Apparatus room to try to destroy it. They are caught by the Daleks, who calmly inform them that they are now prisoners and will be taken to the Dalek City.
The prisoners are taken to the Dalek City where they are put in a cell with two other humans, Bragen and Janley. Bragen is a former deputy governor of the colony who wants to take over and rule on behalf of the Daleks. Janley is a scientist who has been working with the Daleks to further her own ambitions.
The Doctor and his companions soon realize that Bragen and Janley have been working with the Daleks to gain power and control over the colony. They hatch a plan to try to stop them and prevent the Daleks from taking over completely.
In the final scenes of the episode, the Doctor and his companions are able to outsmart Bragen and Janley and escape from the Dalek City. They are able to destroy the Reproduction Apparatus, preventing any more Daleks from being produced and stopping the Daleks' plan to take over the colony.
