The Axons and Axos have been luring potential victims to their planet, promising them unlimited power and riches, only to drain them of their life-force and resources. The Doctor, Jo and the Brigadier must find a way to stop Axos before it's too late.
In this episode, the tension between the Doctor and the military authorities is brought to the forefront. The Brigadier and the Doctor have a contentious relationship, with the latter often opposing the military's approach to dealing with alien threats. However, in this episode, the Brigadier begins to see the value of the Doctor's experience and knowledge in dealing with extraterrestrial threats, and grows to respect him.
The Claws of Axos: Part 2 is a thrilling episode, filled with action, suspense and drama. The Doctor and his companions are faced with a formidable adversary, and must use all of their wits and intelligence to outsmart them.
