Come Dine With Me South Africa is a culinary competition show that has been entertaining viewers since its inception in 2011. Our fourth contestant, Gideon, is a 32-year-old bartender from Pretoria who loves experimenting with different flavors and textures. He decides to go for a fusion theme, combining traditional South African ingredients with Asian flavors to create a unique and exciting menu. His guests are treated to dishes such as boerewors spring rolls and a deconstructed malva pudding with ginger and green tea ice cream.
Last but not least is 28-year-old Cindy from Port Elizabeth. Cindy is a teacher who is passionate about healthy and wholesome cooking. She decides to center her dinner party around a vegetarian and gluten-free menu, showcasing the abundance of fresh produce available in South Africa. Her guests are impressed with her creative use of ingredients such as kale and quinoa, and they rave about her gluten-free chocolate cake for dessert.
Throughout the episode, tensions run high as the contestants not only compete to win the top prize of R10,000, but also for bragging rights as the best dinner party host. The contestants critique each other's dishes, personalities and hosting skills, making for some entertaining and sometimes heated moments.
