Disney Mickey Mouse (Shorts) is an animated television series that follows Mickey Mouse and his friends as they go on various adventures. In season 4 episode 14, titled "Year of the Dog," Mickey and the gang celebrate the Chinese New Year.
The episode begins with Mickey and Minnie getting ready for the Chinese New Year's parade. Mickey is excited to see all of the dragon dancers, but Minnie reminds him that it's the Year of the Dog and they should focus on that.
As they make their way to the parade, they are stopped by Goofy, who is dressed in a dog costume. Goofy tells them that he's going to participate in the parade as a dog, but he's having trouble walking on all fours. Mickey and Minnie offer to help him out and they head to the parade together.
At the parade, they meet Pluto, who is also dressed as a dog. Together, they watch as the dragon dancers perform their routine. But when the dragon accidentally loses its head, chaos ensues and the dragon ends up destroying much of the parade.
Mickey and his friends decide to take matters into their own hands and fix the parade themselves. They gather materials and work together to create a new dragon head. With their new dragon head in place, the parade continues without any further incidents.
After the parade, Mickey and his friends celebrate by exchanging red envelopes filled with money, a Chinese New Year tradition. They learn about the different zodiac animals and the characteristics of the Year of the Dog.
The episode is filled with vibrant colors, lively music, and cultural references that make it an enjoyable and educational experience for viewers of all ages.
