Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 6 Space Patrol

In season 2 episode 6 of Doom Patrol, titled Space Patrol, the team finds themselves in a somewhat subdued state, each struggling with personal demons and past traumas. Rita reflects on her days as an actress before she became Negative Woman and decides to audition for a local community theater production. While rehearsing, she runs into a familiar face from her past and begins to confront some long-buried feelings.

Meanwhile, Larry is still dealing with the loss of his lover and former host, John, and feeling more isolated than ever in his Negative Spirit form. He decides to go on a solo mission to space in order to find some clarity and closure. This decision sets off a chain of events that lead the rest of the team on their own space adventure.

Crazy Jane, who is struggling with her numerous personalities and the impact they have on her day-to-day life, is surprisingly the first to discover Larry's plan and immediately sets out to stop him. Ultimately, the entire team ends up on Larry's spaceship, hurtling towards an unknown destination in the vast expanse of space.

As they travel towards their destination, the team members are forced to confront their personal demons head-on. Cliff, for example, is still reeling from the revelation that his daughter is alive and grappling with the guilt he feels for not being there for her. He becomes fixated on finding a way to get back to Earth and see her.

Amidst their personal struggles, the team is faced with a new threat - a group of aliens who are on a mission to collect certain human beings, one of which happens to be Larry. The group must band together and use all of their skills and powers to fight off the aliens and save themselves.

Throughout the episode, each character is given the opportunity to explore their personal issues in a way that feels authentic and meaningful. Even the more action-packed moments are grounded in the characters' emotional journeys and do not feel gratuitous or cheap.

Ultimately, the team comes out stronger and more united than ever before, having confronted their issues head-on while saving the world (or at least themselves) in the process. The cliffhanger ending sets up future episodes with tantalizing possibilities, leaving the viewer excited to see what will happen next.
