The show "F*ck That's Delicious" is a food and travel series that follows the culinary adventures of rapper and food enthusiast Action Bronson. In season 2, episode 9, titled "A New York Winter Fling," Action and his crew explore the culinary delights of New York City during the winter season.
The episode kicks off with Action and his friend Mayhem Lauren hitting up Kat's Deli in the Lower East Side for some classic New York pastrami on rye. The two catch up over sandwiches piled high with meat and all the fixings, and Action waxes nostalgic about his childhood memories of the deli.
Next up, Action heads to a dim sum restaurant in Chinatown with his producer Alchemist, where they sample a wide variety of dumplings, buns, and other Chinese delicacies. Action gets adventurous with some tripe and sea cucumber, and Alchemist struggles with chopsticks.
The crew then heads uptown to Harlem to check out the famous Sylvia's soul food restaurant. Action marvels at the plate-sized chicken and waffles, while his friends dig into fried chicken and collard greens. The restaurant's owner, Sylvia Woods, even makes an appearance to chat with Action and reminisce about her years in business.
After a brief stop at a Korean grocery store to stock up on snacks, the crew heads over to Brooklyn to try out some Caribbean cuisine at Gloria's. They load up on jerk chicken, rice and beans, and plantains, and Action leads a singalong to some Bob Marley tunes.
The final stop of the day is a Russian bathhouse in the East Village, where Action and his crew indulge in traditional Russian fare like borscht, pierogi, and blintzes. They also take a dip in the icy cold pool and sweat it out in the sauna.
Throughout the episode, Action and his crew share their thoughts and opinions on each of the restaurants and dishes they try, and there are plenty of laughs and hijinks along the way. The episode offers a tantalizing glimpse into the vast and diverse culinary landscape of New York City, and highlights the city's best winter comfort foods.
