This documentary series is hosted by journalist Krishna Andavolu, who explores the push toward legalization of marijuana around the world. Andavolu uncovers arguments for legalization that cover social, economic and health issues, and he looks at ways that legalization has been handled in different locations. The series first launched on the web in 2014, and it has continued through two seasons on the Viceland cable network. The first TV season of the series aired between February and April of 2016, and the second season aired between August and October of the same year. Film director SPike Jonez serves as the series' creative director.
