This particular show capitalizes on the current curiosity that many people are experiencing when it comes to subject matter that involves individual members in the show trying to either prove or disprove the existence of something. In this particular case people are trying to prove whether or not the swamp beast actually exists. The show is filmed in much the same way that other types of documentaries are filmed. There is a team of individuals that are followed to various locations by cameras that film their every move. They attempt to collect as much information as possible from people that are living in or near the location that they are researching and then they utilize this information to form a plan when it comes to going out and conducting their field research. The information that they collect when they are out in the field is then analyzed. The show also tries to gather as much information as possible from each of the locations that it visits. This is done in an attempt to put enough information together to prove many of the eyewitness accounts or to find other plausible explanations. The information that is gathered is often examined as part of a bigger picture as opposed to looking at each possible sighting as a completely separate incident.
