First Dates (Ireland) Season 3 Episode 2 Episode 2
- January 16, 2018
First Dates (Ireland) season 3 episode 2, titled "Episode 2", follows the same format as previous episodes of the show. The show takes place in a restaurant where single people are paired up on blind dates. The cameras follow the couples as they get to know each other and see if there is a spark between them.
In this particular episode, viewers are introduced to a range of different personalities. The first couple we meet are John and Mary. John is a 57-year-old farmer who enjoys the simple life, while Mary is a 51-year-old sales director who is looking for someone to sweep her off her feet. Despite their differences, they hit it off straight away and bond over their shared love for nature and outdoor activities.
Next up is 30-year-old fashion blogger, Olive, who is on a date with 32-year-old investment banker, Jack. Olive is looking for someone who is adventurous and spontaneous, while Jack is hoping to find someone who shares his love for fine dining and travel. Initially, the date seems to be going well, but when Jack reveals that he doesn't want children, Olive's mood quickly changes, and the date takes a dramatic turn.
The third couple of the evening consists of 29-year-old bartender, Shane, and 27-year-old marketing executive, Claire. Shane has his sights set on finding someone who is fun-loving and free-spirited, while Claire is looking for a more serious relationship. Despite their differences, the pair seem to have a good time together and even share a kiss at the end of the night.
The final couple of the episode is made up of 36-year-old accountant, Robert, and musician, Sarah. Robert is a self-confessed homebody who is looking for someone to share a bottle of wine with, while Sarah is hoping to find someone who shares her passion for music and performance. The date gets off to a slightly awkward start when Sarah reveals that she is a singer and asks Robert to listen to her music. However, things start to pick up when they find common ground over their shared love of dance and fitness.
Overall, the episode is a mix of highs and lows, with some couples hitting it off straight away and others struggling to find common ground. As always, the show is filled with plenty of awkward moments and cringe-worthy silences, but it's also heartwarming to see some of the couples making a real connection. Viewers get a glimpse into the world of modern dating and all the challenges that come with trying to find love in the 21st century.
