Five Points is a drama web series produced by Kerry Washington, Jon Avnet, Rodrigo Garcia, and Jake Avnet. It premiered on Facebook Watch in 2018 and ran for two seasons, concluding in 2019. The series follows the lives of five high school students who attend the fictional Five Points High School in Los Angeles.

Madison Pettis stars as Tosh, a popular girl who is struggling to deal with her brother's recent incarceration. Hayley Kiyoko plays Lexi, an aspiring musician who struggles with her sexuality and clashes with her conservative father. Ray Cham Jr. stars as CJ, a star athlete who is hiding a secret from his girlfriend. Trey Curtis plays Wallace, a student who is dealing with the pressure of keeping up with his wealthy classmates while hiding his family's financial struggles. Nathaniel Potvin plays Eric, a straight-A student who is constantly trying to please his overbearing father.

The show also features Jake Walker as Tyler, a newcomer to the school who is hiding a dark past, and Spence Moore II as T.K., CJ's best friend who is dealing with his own issues at home. Jahking Guillory rounds out the cast as Lil' Ricky, a member of a local gang who has a connection to several of the main characters.

Each episode follows the lives of these five characters as they navigate their way through the ups and downs of high school. The show tackles a range of issues including sexuality, family, mental health, race, and class. The writing is engaging, and the acting is top-notch, making the characters feel real and relatable.

One of the unique aspects of Five Points is that it was shot entirely on a vertical format. While this may have seemed like a gimmick at first, it actually works well for the show. The vertical format adds a level of intimacy to the scenes, making it feel like the viewer is right there in the room with the characters. It also lends itself well to the social media platform on which the show airs, as viewers can easily watch it on their phones.

Overall, Five Points is a well-crafted and engaging drama series that tackles important issues affecting today's high school students. It has a great cast, compelling storylines, and an innovative format that sets it apart from other shows. If you're looking for a thought-provoking and entertaining series to watch, this one is definitely worth checking out.
