He discovers that Rieko was a model before marrying Hashimoto and that she had a secret affair with a photographer named Takuma Takahashi.

As Rieko's behavior grows more erratic, Hashimoto becomes increasingly concerned for her safety. Yukawa and the police department step up their investigation and begin to suspect that Rieko is suffering from a psychological disorder. They confront her with their findings, but Rieko denies any wrongdoing. She claims that she is being stalked, and that is why she is acting strangely.

Yukawa and the police work together to investigate the stalker, but they are unable to find any evidence to support Rieko's claims. Hashimoto decides to take matters into his own hands, and he hires a private detective to follow Rieko. The detective discovers that Rieko has been seeing Takuma Takahashi behind Hashimoto's back.
