Wendy's father dies, bequeathing Tom and Mia a property in Greece. Tom (26) and his girlfriend are struggling to launch an environmental start-up in New York. He flies to Athens to see Mia, who lives there. He finds out that they've inherited a dilapidated building in Athens. The top floor alone is occupied by a group of European students. That inheritance is a windfall for Tom. If he can sell fast, he'll make all the cash he needs to launch his start-up. But he needs his sister's consent. Tom tries to explain that to Mia, but she's too busy with her job at an NGO assisting migrants and refugees. Mia admits that she's dropped out of college. A detail she's kept from their parents, who think she's studying political science. Mia's averse to anything related to money. Faced with her vehement anti-capitalist sentiments, Tom clams up about their legacy. Mia's romantically involved with Kristos, a seductive anarchist and head of the NGO. They live together in a squat, which Tom naively thin
