Hank Zipzer is an American-Canadian children's television series based on the book series of the same name by English actor Henry Winkler. The series follows the adventures of Hank Zipzer, a 12-year-old boy with dyslexia, and his friends in their attempts to navigate school and everyday life.

In season 1 episode 5, entitled "Haunted Hank," Hank and his friends are tasked with a Halloween project for school. However, when their teacher, Miss Adolf, assigns them to create a haunted house for the school's Halloween party, Hank is less than excited. He has a phobia of ghosts and haunted houses, and the thought of being surrounded by them is more than he can bear.

Despite his fear, Hank tries his best to help with the project. He starts by building a cardboard cutout for the haunted house, but things go awry when he accidentally cuts it in half. Hank's friends, Frankie and Ashley, try to reassure him that it's not a big deal and that they can easily fix it, but Hank can't shake his fear of ghosts.

Later that night, Hank's fear is taken to new heights when he thinks he sees a ghost in his room. He tries to hide under his blankets, but the ghost seems to be coming closer. In a panic, Hank runs out of his room and into the bathroom where he finds his dad, Stan, dressed up in a ghost costume as a prank. Hank is relieved, but still shaken up from the experience.

The next day, Hank and his friends continue to work on the haunted house project, hoping to make it the best one yet. However, when they go to the school late at night to set up, they start experiencing strange occurrences. Doors close on their own, lights flicker, and a mysterious figure seems to be following them.

Despite his fear, Hank tries to keep a level head and solve the mystery of the haunting. He discovers that the strange occurrences are caused by a draft from an open window and a malfunctioning light switch. Hank's friends quickly fix the problems, and they are able to finish setting up the haunted house in time for the party.

At the party, Hank's fear of the haunted house is put to the test when he is asked to go through it with his friends. Hank is hesitant at first, but with the encouragement of his friends, he takes a deep breath and enters the haunted house. To his surprise, he realizes that it's not so scary after all. In fact, he even manages to scare his friends a few times in the process.

In the end, Hank learns a valuable lesson about facing his fears and not letting them control him. He also learns that sometimes things may seem scary at first, but with a little courage and perseverance, they can turn out to be enjoyable experiences.

Overall, "Haunted Hank" is a fun-filled episode that's perfect for the Halloween season. It's a great reminder that even though things may seem scary, we can overcome our fears and have a good time in the process.
