Ep 7. The Fight to the Death

Lyra and Lee head to the village of Trollesund in search of the missing children. Upon arrival, they meet with the ruler of the town, Iofur Raknison, who is convinced that Lyra is the prophesied child who will set him on the throne as the true king of the bears. Iorek Byrnison, the exiled bear king, also makes an appearance in Trollesund, seeking to reclaim his rightful place on the throne. In order to get close to the imprisoned children, Lyra must pass Iofur's test and prove herself worthy of being his ally.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter is on a mission to silence anyone who may know about her involvement in the child kidnappings. She visits the home of journalist Adele Starminster, who had been investigating the Gobblers, and threatens her into silence. Adele's daemon, a bluebird, is taken away from her as punishment for speaking out.

Back in Trollesund, a fight to the death between Iorek and Iofur is arranged to determine who will be the true king of the bears. Lyra, Lee, and some of the other townspeople are in attendance as the two massive bears face off in a brutal battle. It is a fight to the death, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Will Iorek be able to reclaim his throne? Or will Iofur become the king with the help of Lyra?

As the episode comes to a close, Lyra finally gets a chance to speak with the imprisoned children, who are being kept in cages underground. She learns that the Gobblers are planning to separate the children from their daemons permanently, which could have catastrophic consequences. Lyra vows to do everything in her power to put an end to the Gobblers' evil plan and save the children and their daemons.
