"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" is a new late-night talk show on HBO. The show is hosted by John Oliver, who is a British comedian. The show is a news satire program; the show holds a lot of similarities to Comedy Central's The Daily Show. John Oliver has said they most likely will do more international-related stories, since the show airs only once a week. The show has some famous guests such as Bill Nye, Tony Abbot, and Stephen Hawking.

The show has a two year contract with an option to extend the show if it is successful. The show is a 30-minute program, but there have been rumors of extending it to an hour. Also there have been rumors of the show airing multiple times a week, depending on the popularity of the program. The show is on every Sunday at 11:00 p.m.
