The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is a late night talk show that is aired on CBS. It first hit the air on September 8, 2015. The first guests that appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert were actor George Clooney and United States presidential hopeful, the former Governor of Florida in Jeb Bush. Colbert replaced long time host of The Late Show in David Letterman. Letterman was the host of The Late Show With David Letterman for 22 years on CBS. For 11 years before that the show aired on NBC. The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is taped at the historic Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City. Before Colbert came to become the host of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, he was the host of The Colbert Report on Comedy Central. When Colbert took over the job as the host of The Late Show, he brought the biggest part of his Colbert Report production team with him. Former Comedy Central colleague and fellow show host Jon Stewart is also a part of the The Late Show With Stephen Colbert production team. Stewart is an executive producer of the show. The format of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert is nearly similar to that of the David Letterman version. Colbert has a wide range of guests from actors, musicians, and top politicians of the day. One major difference is the house band for the show. The CBS Orchestra from the David Letterman show has been replaced with bandleader Johnathan Batiste and his Stay Human band.
