Ep 4. Ruby Tuesday

Informer season 1 episode 4 titled "Ruby Tuesday" follows the events that occur all around town as a result of the murder of a well-known and respected lawyer.

The episode opens with the detectives arriving at the scene of the crime, where they assess the situation meticulously and begin the process of tracing the victim's last movements. The investigation is made more challenging by the fact that the victim had many enemies and leads a life that the public is largely unaware of.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Raza (Nabhaan Rizwan), the show's protagonist, is going through his routine check-in with the police who have turned him into a reluctant informant to catch a terrorist - the original premise of the show. In this episode, his primary focus is on finding out the source of a manifesto that has been circulating around town.

As the episode proceeds, it becomes clear that the murder could be connected to the larger terrorist case that Raza is tied up with. The detectives and the officers working on the case start to uncover information that leads back to some of the people who were previously under suspicion.

In addition to the murder investigation, the episode also deals with some of the more personal issues facing Raza around his latest relationship. As he strives to impress his girlfriend, her family's disdainful view of Muslims becomes a source of tension, and he is forced to confront the underlying prejudice that still exists in society.

As the episode nears its conclusion, the investigation into the lawyer's death leads the team towards a group of people previously unknown to them. It is revealed that they have ties to the wider network of extremists, and it looks as though the group could be involved in the sharing of the manifesto that Raza is investigating.

In the final scenes of the episode, the tensions and threats surrounding the various investigations come to a head, with Raza being caught up in the dangerous world of the extremists. At the same time, the detectives are closing in on the killer of the lawyer and are very close to cracking the case wide open.

Overall, Informer season 1 episode 4 "Ruby Tuesday" is a gripping instalment of the series that sees the various storylines starting to converge and link together. The show is at its best when it explores the complex characters and the moments of moral uncertainty that arise, and this episode does a fantastic job of weaving the individual stories together into a broader, more intricate narrative.
