Charlie Wants an Abortion is the second episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia season 1. In this episode, the character Charlie learns that his ex-girlfriend is pregnant and immediately assumes that he is the father. He convinces the rest of the gang to go with him to an abortion clinic, where he plans to pay for the operation and ask for the remains so that he can give them a proper burial.

Meanwhile, Mac and Dennis start their own pro-life organization and try to persuade Charlie to keep the baby. They enlist the help of Dee, who reluctantly joins their cause, but soon realizes that they are only using her for her public speaking skills.

The episode deals with sensitive issues such as abortion and pro-life versus pro-choice beliefs, but does so in a way that is both humorous and thought-provoking. The gang's bumbling attempts to navigate this complex moral landscape lead to some absurd and cringeworthy moments, but also highlight the importance of informed decision-making and respecting others' choices.

The standout performances in this episode come from Charlie Day, who portrays Charlie's emotional turmoil with convincing vulnerability, and Kaitlin Olson, who injects some much-needed cynicism and sarcasm into Dee's moral dilemma.

Overall, Charlie Wants an Abortion is a strong follow-up to the series premiere and sets the tone for the irreverent and socially aware humor that It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia would become known for.
