In Jekyll And Hyde season 1 episode 4, titled "The Calyx," we find Robert Jekyll (Tom Bateman) grappling with a new threat to his existence. He learns of the existence of the "Calyx," a rare substance with the power to kill him instantly. The discovery of the Calyx throws Robert into a state of paranoia and fear, as he now has to navigate a world where his very survival is at risk.
To make matters worse, Ravi (Ace Bhatti) charges Robert with finding a sample of the Calyx for him. Ravi needs the substance to cure his sickly daughter, and Robert quickly realizes he has no choice but to comply with Ravi's demands.
Meanwhile, the mysterious Captain Dance (Enzo Cilenti) is still on the hunt for Robert, and he will stop at nothing to find him. Dance's obsession with Robert has him resorting to treacherous behavior, and Robert realizes he's in more danger than ever before.
To further complicate matters, Robert's alter ego, Hyde, begins to take over more frequently and with an increasing level of violence. Robert is losing control of himself, and the impending threat of the Calyx only serves to exacerbate his already fragile mental state.
As Robert continues his search for the Calyx, he begins to suspect that there may be a larger conspiracy at play. He enlists the help of his love interest, Lily (Stephanie Hyam), to assist him in unraveling the mystery. Together, they uncover a sinister plot that could have devastating consequences for all of London.
"The Calyx" is a tense and action-packed episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. With the stakes higher than ever before and Robert's mental state deteriorating, the episode is both thrilling and heartbreaking.
