  • As Alya does her best to comfort her Gran, they're interrupted by a knock at the door. Alya opens the door to find two bailiffs demanding payment of debts.

  • Alya opens the pile of final demands with mounting concern. Yasmeen admits that she's no idea how much she owes or how she'll ever pay it back.

  • Leanne drops one of her feathers and runs after it down the street, almost getting knocked over by Mary. Nick is concerned at her behaviour.

  • When Ed hears that Paul is looking for work, he reveals that he's got the contract to convert the archdeacon's house into a halfway house and he's looking for labourers. Will Paul accept?

  • Debbie hurries over and tells Sally that she'd like to hire the best lawyer for Faye and use Ray's money to fund it.  Sally's touched by her generosity whilst Kevin remains deeply sceptical.

  • At No.8, Gail discusses Ted's funeral arrangements with George and asserts that she won't be wasting an invite on David.

  • Johnny finds out from Gary that Joe took an overdose in his cell.  Johnny's horrified, realising that Joe's request for a game of pool was actually a cry for help.

  • As Simon readies to leave with a chip shop delivery, Jacob takes the bag off him and tells him he's got a delivery for him to make of a different kind.  Simon's heart sinks.

  • When Aadi announces that he'll be conducting her performance review at lunchtime, Evelyn's seriously unimpressed.

  • When Simon admits he's got a cash flow problem, his mate Jacob from the chippy, offers to lend him £60.  Simon's grateful.

  • Tracy corners Debbie and tells her that David can't afford to buy back No.8 so she'd like to buy it instead.

  • As Billy and Paul sit down to dinner, Ajay arrives and thanks them for inviting him and Todd along. Billy is quietly furious.

  • Concerned to see Ken so low, Adam suggests to Ken and Tracy that they each take turns to keep an eye on Peter and if he goes out, they go with him. As Peter heads out, he's annoyed to realise Adam is following him.

  • Gemma comes clean to Sean and tells him she can't afford to pay him his commission and she wants out of the business. Sean panics, wondering how he's going to pay Rydian.

  • Abi, Alya and Faye clock Ray leaving the bistro and are gutted to realise he's been released.

  • In the police interview room, a terrified Faye explains to DS Willets how she attacked Adam Barlow thinking he was Ray Crosby.

  • Aadi, suited and booted for his new management role, calls at the kebab shop and announces to Bernie and Cathy that he's here to conduct their PDRs.

  • Jenny visits Johnny in prison and quizzes him about his fall and the fact she had to find out about it from someone else.

  • Peter returns from his trip to Scotland and putting on a brave face, tells Daniel he hasn't touched a drop of alcohol and he's off to his hospital appointment later.

  • Imran asks the judge to show leniency in Johnny's sentence, citing his genuine remorse and poor health as mitigation.

  • Dev advises Abi and David to accept that they lost to Ray and move on, but Abi's convinced the planning committee was bribed and is determined to find proof.

  • Abi is determined to take action and arrives on a float, using a loudhailer to spread the word about evil Ray. As she yells defamatory statements about him he makes a discreet phone call.

  • Michael is shocked to find Grace on the doorstep, explaining she's just out of prison. Assuring Michael that the baby she's carrying is his, she suggests a paternity test.

  • Carla tells Peter how much she loves him and wants to look after him. Fighting his emotions, Peter's adamant it's too late.

  • Roy calls at No.7 and asks Dev for a copy of his letter of objection to the planning committee. Dev's evasive and Asha's appalled to realize he never wrote one.

  • Nick's torn when Ray and Debbie offer him alternative premises for Underworld on half the rent.

  • Ken visits Peter in hospital and is shocked to realise the gravity of his condition.

  • Shona tells David that now they're back together properly, she reckons it's time she returned to work - Roy agrees.

  • After a sleepless night with baby Mason, Toyah and Imran share a smile, happy but slightly out of their depth.

  • As Toyah excitedly babbles on about the baby, Nick rounds the corner with Sam. Making excuses, Leanne scuttles away hiding her upset.

  • Over their Christmas dinner, Nick assures Sam that he'll visit him in London as often as he can and they'll do the museums together. Sam smiles but his sadness is evident.

  • Worried about how they're going to fund Christmas, Chesney urges Gemma to get down to the fitness centre and flog some of her new makeup range.

  • A tipsy Shona realises she's misplaced the bistro keys and they're locked in.

  • As David and Abi report that Colin has vanished, a smug Ray relishes their frustration.

  • Debbie tries to persuade Gary to reconsider withdrawing the sale of Underworld.

  • Gary enters the bistro with the signed factory contract for Ray. Hearing Faye's muffled cries from the office, Gary orders Ray to open the door. Faye emerges in tears, her blouse torn, and flees. Incensed, Gary tears up the contract and goes after her.

  • With the foreman distracted, Abi jumps into the cab of the digger but loses control of the long arm, which smashes down on a nearby substation, knocking out all the power in the surrounding streets.

  • On the street, Abi, Kevin, Brian, Cathy, David, Ken, Rita and Shona watch with horror as a bulldozer heads towards the brewery. Ray gives them a satisfied grin.

  • As the mourners gather for Oliver's memorial service, a breathless Steve arrives and explains that he's been at the hospital and he'd like to continue fundraising for other families in the same situation.

  • Sally, Dev, Brian and Roy discuss Ray's latest offer. Sally's adamant that they mustn't give in to a criminal intent on destroying their community.

  • On the street, Geoff intentionally goads Tim, telling him that even as a child he knew he'd never amount to anything. Tim falls for it and punches him.

  • Daisy and her boyfriend Lee, arrive for lunch. Johnny refuses to engage with them whilst Jenny does her best to lighten the mood.

  • Leanne calls at the solicitors' office and begs Imran to help her with the case just as a friend. When Imran refuses, Leanne pushes over a filing cabinet and locks the door, her desperation all too evident.

  • Alya visits Yasmeen and tells her how Tim is willing to stand as a witness.

  • When Tracy confides in Emma that she's worried how Amy will deal with Oliver's death, Emma suggests they should make a memory box.

  • Carla attempts to set Adam and Sarah up by inviting them both to lunch and hints if all goes well she has a spare hotel room for them for the night. Will Sarah and Adam reunite?

  • Natasha calls at the flat and tells Leanne how she'd like to donate £20k to Oliver's fund. Leanne's stunned and turning to Nick, demands to know why he kept this quiet.

  • Whilst Sam successfully sells Gary a sky rocket, Gail warns Natasha to keep her hands off Nick. Natasha's fuming.

  • Gemma urges Chesney and Bernie to find more work as she's sick of living hand to mouth.

  • As David and Shona are about to head out, a man approaches and introducing himself as Hugo, explains that he's a model in need of an emergency haircut. David shows him into the barber's whilst Shona takes an instant dislike to him.

  • George reveals his plan to stage a mock funeral so Mick will think Todd's dead. As Mick arrives will Eileen go along with the hoax?

  • Evelyn lays down some ground rules to Arthur regarding sleeping arrangements for their trip to the Lakes.

  • Eileen meets up with Todd in the warehouse. Todd admits that he's in danger.

  • Over a video call, Nick promises Sam that he'll be there at lunchtime to watch him perform David Bowie's Space Oddity. Gail calls round and meets her grandson for the first time.

  • Gail returns home to find Nick and David in cahoots. Nick drops the bombshell that he's discovered he has a son, Sam, from his relationship with Natasha and he would love him to be a part of the family but it would be too painful for Leanne.

  • Shona suggests to Sarah they should have a girls' night out at Speed Daal.

  • Ed finds Michael in Victoria Garden and persuades him to come home, pointing out that Tianna needs her Mum. Michael knows he's right.

  • Abi calls into Underworld to speak up for Peter, warning Carla he's heading for a relapse. Abi reckons Carla's using her as the fall guy for her failing relationship.

  • Debbie tells Kevin that Abi and Peter are having an affair. Billy and Paul begin to regret their actions. Adam becomes suspicious of Daniel.

  • Brian seeks Mary's expert opinion on Tyrone's flower find. He's disbelieving when Mary concurs with Cathy. Upset at having her integrity doubted, Mary bars Brian from the florist's.

  • Leanne's overwhelmed when Nick offers to sell his shares in Underworld to raise cash for Oliver's treatment.

  • When Steve reveals how Leanne played down the seriousness of Oliver's condition and he worries that they're heading for a fall, Tracy urges him to tackle her about it.

  • In the corner shop, Debbie quizzes Sally about Abi and her intentions towards Kevin. Sally assures her Abi's a good person, she loves Kevin and Peter Barlow is history.

  • The doctor breaks the news to Leanne and Steve that they've had to up Oliver's sedation again as his seizures are beyond their control and life support is the only thing keeping him alive.

  • Shona and Nina join David, Sarah, Sally and Lily for the barbecue. Suddenly there's an almighty crash and a huge crater appears in the middle of the garden. Everyone gazes into the hole, completely stunned.

  • Faye calls at No.4 to find Tim and Sally struggling with Geoff's laptop. She reluctantly shows them how to restore Geoff's deleted camera app. It's soon apparent that there's no CCTV footage but there is a video which he downloaded from his phone.

  • As Dev shows an estate agent round the kebab shop, Asha and Aadi exchange worried looks. Cathy and Bernie are shocked to realise they could be out of work.

  • Daniel tells Adam the nature of his relationship with Nicky.

  • Geoff's actions push Alya to breaking point.

  • Johnny and Scott discuss a crime from the past. Daniel sends Adam to Nicky's aid.

  • Debbie senses Abi's reluctance to spend time with her.

  • Paul and Gemma celebrate their 30th birthday. Jenny greets Johnny's return with hostility.

  • Peter gets in the way of Abi's morphine fix.

  • Sarah's fuming when she overhears Paul and Alina gossiping about the state of her marriage.

  • In a flap, Maria realises she's late for her own wedding. However, when Kirk reveals that Gary hasn't shown up yet either, her panic levels escalate

  • Sally apologises to Tim for giving Alya the money without consulting him but assures him they can still afford a wedding. Tim remains adamant the wedding is off.

  • Tim rows with Sally over the money and asserts that if Alya is more important to her than their own wedding, they may as well call it off.

  • Adam quizzes Bernie about the watch. When Bernie reveals she found it in Beacon Woods and that Gary was very keen to get his hands on it too, Adam's quietly horrified.

  • Leanne confides in Toyah how when an old friend enquired after Oliver, she lied, making out that he's fine and now she's ashamed of herself. Toyah's heart breaks for her sister.

  • When Mandy, an old friend from antenatal class asks after Oliver, Leanne makes out he's fine. But as Mandy heads off, Leanne is overwhelmed with grief.

  • Sally points out that even if Alya were paying Elaine to make out that she too was abused by Geoff, there would be no reason for her to pretend she's his Mum. Tim refuses to listen.

  • As Faye helps Geoff with the takeaway orders at Speed Daal, she quizzes him about the woman she saw him arguing with in the ginnel. Geoff makes out she was just a stranger who coughed on him, he was annoyed and chose to remonstrate with her.

  • Elaine introduces herself to Sally in the cafe and explains that she's Tim's Mum, it broke her heart to abandon him but Geoff made her life a living hell and now she wants to do what she can to help Yasmeen.

  • Yasmeen wakes from a dreadful nightmare to realise it's the day of her trial.

  • Adam approaches Gary and accuses him of killing Rick. Gary's dismissive but rattled.

  • Sally watches sadly as Abi packs up her things for her move to No.13. Abi thanks her for making her so welcome and assures her it won't alter their friendship.

  • In the factory, Carla announces that Nick has asked her to step in while he takes some time off to look after Oliver. The factory girls are shocked to realise Carla is once more their boss.

  • When Adam refuses to mind Bertie as he is too busy, Daniel is bitterly disappointed as he is desperate to see Nicky again.

  • Geoff tells Yasmeen that he still loves her and he's willing to drop the charges if she'll promise to be his wife again. Finally admitting that she felt terrified and bullied in her own home, Yasmeen orders Geoff to leave her alone and hangs up.

  • Geoff returns to work at Speed Daal. Alya's horrified but Geoff points out that as co-owner he has every right to be there. Biting her lip, Alya calls Imran for advice.

  • Alone at No.6, Geoff emails the prison and requests a visit with Yasmeen.

  • At Nick's request, Dr Gaddas visits Leanne and suggests she might benefit from some counselling or some medication. Leanne won't hear of it and asks her to leave.

  • Having found out the terrible news about Oliver, Jenny gets upset remembering her own son Tom. When Emma admits her fears for how Steve will cope, Jenny assures her that given time, Steve will get through it.

  • As the other kids file into the exam hall, Simon reaches a decision and strides out of the building.

  • Toyah calls on Leanne and Oliver, but seeing her sister so utterly distraught, realises she can't possibly raise the subject of child fostering.

  • Shona invites David upto Roy's flat for a date. In the flat, Shona suggests they do a jigsaw. David's bemused but goes along with her plan.

  • Leanne, Nick, Steve, Tracy, Simon, Emma and Amy take Oliver to the petting zoo. Leanne does her best to relax but she can't take her eyes off her son.

  • Seb plucks up the courage to tell Alina that he still has feelings for her but the moment is broken by the arrival of Emma.

  • Adam is pleased to see Daniel having a good time with an attractive woman. When Nicky suggests they make a night of it Daniel agrees and they head out.

  • When Roy reveals that Shona's been assigned a support worker and should be discharged from the rehab centre very soon, David's filled with optimism.

  • Geoff calls at the factory and warns Sally that by siding with Yasmeen she's forcing Tim to choose between his wife and his Dad, the stress of which could kill him. Sally's shaken.

  • Spotting Laura in the cafe, Adam surreptitiously removes his wedding ring and turning on the charm, offers to buy her a coffee.

  • The Judge adjourns the hearing for seven days and Yasmeen is led back to the cells.

  • Gary is doing a bit of investigation work with the help of a PI to try and find Kelly's mum Laura.

  • Spotting Corey and his mates, Asha plucks up the courage, heads over and tears a strip off him for the appalling way he's treated her. Corey's dumbstruck while Summer and Nina are seriously impressed.

  • Having gone through Geoff's bank accounts, Imran confides in Alya that he's been frequenting a hotel bar in town. Alya urges him to speak to Yasmeen about it.

  • Roy finds a bewildered Shona lurking outside the back of the cafe. He ushers her in and makes her a cup of tea but it's clear she doesn't recognise him.

  • Shona visits Gail and Sarah but she's clearly confused and can't recognise Harry at all.

  • The doctor warns that it's too soon to be sure but Oliver may have suffered brain damage. Leanne refuses to believe it. Adamant that Oliver will make a full recover.

  • As the bistro opening party gets underway, Don continues his racist remarks in front of the whole Bailey family. Ed has had enough and challenges him.

  • When Tyrone finds Arthur and Evelyn enjoying breakfast together, he assumes Arthur stayed over. A flustered Evelyn explains he just called in, later assuring Fiz they are just good friends.

  • Warming up for their run, Craig senses that David is more stressed about Shona than he's letting on.

  • David heads to the rough estate and spotting some drug dealers, leaps on the bonnet of their car. The lads give chase and David sprints away, enjoying the adrenaline rush.

  • Yasmeen attends her bail hearing. Alya's devastated as bail is refused, while Tim punches the air in celebration.

  • When Dev blames Kelly for heaping so much trouble on Asha, Gary leaps to Kelly's defence leaving Adam intrigued.

  • With Imran present, the police interview Yasmeen and play her the recording of her call to the emergency services admitting that she's killed her husband.

  • Back at No.6, Geoff Metcalfe viciously reveals that he bought the sexy dress for one of his many escorts. Yasmeen snatches a wine bottle and a struggle ensues. Geoff slumps to the ground, what has Yasmeen done?

  • When Summer explains to Billy that Kelly's mum has abandoned her and she's living alone, he agrees to let Kelly stay at their flat, provided she apologises to Asha.

  • Still under the weather, Yasmeen heads to the medical centre for her test results.

  • Gary finds Kelly in tears outside No.7, he's startled to learn she was thrown out of Oakhill when her dad's money stopped coming and her mum owed thousands in fees.

  • Sally and Tim ask Kevin and Abi to be witnesses at their wedding. Kevin offers to be best man and Tim awkwardly agrees before confiding in Sally that he's already asked Geoff.

  • Carla agrees that she and Peter will move in to run the pub and take care of Scott so that Jenny can accompany Johnny to France. In spite of his best efforts, Johnny comes face to face with Scott, who greets him as an old friend.

  • As Steve and Tracy head home, a police car pulls up. Tracy and Steve throw the revellers out of the house and order Amy to start clearing up.

  • A business man called Scott Emberton has expressed an interest in taking the room at the Rovers on a long let - Liz chats to him.

  • Amy invites Corey over for pizza and they share a laugh. Having clocked the exchange from a distance, Kelly tells Asha that it's obvious Amy fancies Corey.

  • Rita finds Gemma alone and clearly upset in Victoria Garden. Gemma finally opens up and admits to Rita that she can't cope and she's consumed with dark thoughts.

  • Yasmeen secretly meets up with two police officers in the community centre.

  • In the factory, Michael waits to be called for his telesales interview and babbles away nervously to Alina, telling her all about his little girl - Alina warms to him.

  • With hearing aids fitted, Aled's face lights up at the sound of Chesney's and Gemma's voices.

  • David wanders the streets, swigging beer from a can. Suddenly two muggers grab him, drag him into an alleyway and pull a knife on him.

  • When Gemma tries to wriggle out of seeing the doctor, Bernie tells her it's too late, she's made an appointment and if she tries to swerve it, she'll tell Chesney everything.

  • In her emotional state, Gemma fails to spot an oncoming car. A police officer approaches and realises Gemma's been drinking...

  • Bernie attends Baby Senses class with Gemma and the quads.

  • With Toyah by her side, Alya reports Geoff to the police, convinced he must have a history of abuse.

  • Gemma attends storytime with the quads. But she's so exhausted she falls asleep and a couple of the other mums gently take the babies from her. Gemma wakes with a start and is upset to realise what happened.

  • Maria and Gary watch in horror as Ali is loaded into an ambulance. When Craig reveals that he's taken an overdose, Maria and Gary each wonder if they're to blame.

  • Alya learns that Geoff and Yasmeen intend to sell up and move away.

  • In the Rovers, Adam dupes Ali into confessing to his recent fling with Maria.

  • Alya realises that Geoff is the author of her poor reviews.

  • Ryan accuses Maria of putting Ali in hospital.

  • Alya calls to see her Gran but making out she's in bed with a bad back, Geoff closes the door in her face.

  • Gary bumps into an old acquaintance. Nina joins Roy on a bat-watching expedition.

  • Tracy urges Steve to up their offer on the house in the hope that it'll top Peter's bid.

  • Daniel resolves to prove his devotion to Bethany. Tyrone's act of kindness misleads Jade.

  • Kevin confesses to Tyrone that he's being blackmailed by Ray and if he doesn't sell him the garage, he and Abi are off to prison.

  • Daniel bags up Sinead's belongings for Beth.

  • Bethany informs Sarah she was rejected for the other restaurant job as well, and suspects Ray used his influence to have her blacklisted.

  • Alya clashes with Geoff upon her return to Speed Daal.

  • Gemma's devastated when the audiologist confirms Aled has profound permanent hearing loss in both ears.

  • Peter beats Tracy's offer for Ken's house.

  • James finally plucks up the courage and tells Ed that he's gay. Ed does his best to take the news in his stride, but it's clear he's struggling and hurt to realise Aggie and Michael already knew.
