Mikey Simon, a failed American actor, has been given the opportunity of a lifetime- to star in the hit Japanese anime series, "LilyMu". Alongside his new Japanese friends, Gonard, Mitsuki, Lily, and Guano, Mikey must navigate the highs and lows of the entertainment industry while facing both external and internal conflicts.
In season 2, episode 1, titled "Mikey Impossible," the gang is excited to attend a movie premiere hosted by their friend and rival, Ozu. However, things take a sudden turn when Ozu is kidnapped by an unknown villain. In an effort to save him, Mikey must become a spy and go on a dangerous mission to retrieve a top-secret device.
The episode opens with the gang getting ready for the premiere of the latest blockbuster, "Space Cats". Mikey, as usual, is gushing over his celebrity crush, Mitsuki is trying to maintain her professionalism, Lily is excited to see her favorite feline superheroes, Gonard is acting like a crazy fanboy, and Guano is being his usual grumpy self. As they arrive at the cinema, they bump into their arch-nemesis, the villainous "Metal Face". He makes a few sarcastic comments before revealing that he is not the villain of the episode and wandering off.
At the premiere, they meet up with Ozu, who has a special VIP section reserved for them. Ozu introduces them to his new invention, the "Ozumobile," a sleek, high-tech car that can transform into various forms. He shows them a demonstration of the car's features, and everyone is amazed except for Guano, who declares that it's just a regular car painted gold.
However, things take a turn for the worse when Ozu is suddenly kidnapped by a mysterious villain. The gang is left confused and helpless, but Mikey insists that they must do something to save their friend. It is at this point that they receive a message from the kidnapper, demanding that they retrieve a top-secret device for Ozu's safe return. The device is rumored to be hidden in a heavily guarded facility on a nearby island, and they only have a limited amount of time to retrieve it.
Mikey, feeling responsible for their friend's abduction, takes it upon himself to go on the dangerous mission. However, Gonard insists on accompanying him, claiming that he has always wanted to be a spy. With no other choice, Mikey allows Gonard to come along.
They set sail to the island, where they meet up with their contact person, a mysterious woman named K. She provides them with gadgets and helps them infiltrate the facility. The rest of the episode is filled with action-packed scenes, as the duo dodges security, engages in hand-to-hand combat, and eventually retrieves the device. However, things don't go as planned, and they are chased out of the island, leaving them to figure out how to get back to safety.
The episode ends with the gang reunited and grateful that their friend is safe. Ozu reveals that the device was essential to his latest invention, which he shows off to everyone. However, in classic Kappa Mikey fashion, everything goes haywire, and the episode concludes with a massive explosion.
Overall, "Mikey Impossible" is an exciting, action-packed episode that showcases the gang's personalities and strengths. The mission brings out the best in Mikey and Gonard while highlighting their hilarious quirks. The gadgets and settings add to the show's anime vibe and make for a visually interesting watch. It's a great episode for fans of spy movies and anyone who loves a good action scene.
