Ep 5. Alaskan Built

In this episode of Life Below Zero: Next Generation season 1, we follow a group of Alaskans as they take on the harsh realities of building their own homes and cabins in the remote wilderness. These next-generation homesteaders are forging their own paths in some of the most extreme conditions on Earth and relying on their own skills and intuition to make it through.

We start off with homesteader Jessi as she works on building a yurt out of salvaged materials. Living off the land, she is determined to do it all on her own, despite the challenges of the wilderness. With unpredictable weather and difficult conditions, we see Jessi push herself to the limit to complete her project.

Next, we meet homesteaders Tyler and Ashley, who are building their own cabin by hand. With limited experience but a lot of determination, they rely on each other to get the job done. We see them face challenges along the way, including extreme temperatures and running out of supplies. But despite the setbacks, they continue to push forward and make progress.

We also follow along with homesteader Andrew as he constructs a greenhouse out of recycled materials. As he works on building his garden from scratch, we see him face challenges such as harsh winds and a lack of resources. But with his determination and resourcefulness, he manages to overcome these obstacles and create a thriving space for his crops.

Throughout the episode, we see the homesteaders lean on each other for support, sharing their knowledge and offering help when needed. They are all united by the common goal of living off the land, and they are all determined to make it work, no matter what challenges they may face.
