Ep 19. Savagery

The episode opens with a recap of recent events in the Temple, where we see how the rivalry between Marty “The Moth” Martinez and Pentagon Dark has been escalating. We also see Melissa Santos confronting Fenix about his recent actions, as he has been behaving erratically. Meanwhile, Johnny Mundo is still the reigning Lucha Underground champion, but he is facing challenges from all sides.

As the episode begins, we see Mariposa entering the locker room of the Rabbit Tribe, where she finds Saltador and Mala Suerte. They tell her that Vibora is not there, and she starts to panic. She tells them that she needs his help to take revenge on Martinez, and that he needs to be there for her. She leaves the room in a hurry, and they follow her, confused about what is going on.

In the ring, we see Mil Muertes facing off against Drago. Muertes is in his usual savage mode, and he dominates the match from the start. Drago puts up a good fight, but he is eventually defeated by the ruthless Muertes. As the match ends, Muertes continues to beat down on his opponent, but he is interrupted by the arrival of Catrina. She tells him that he needs to focus on his quest for the Lucha Underground championship, and that he should not be wasting his time with Drago. Muertes seems to agree with her, and he leaves the ring.

In the backstage area, we see Joey Ryan talking to Jack Evans and XO Lishus. He tells them that he has a plan to take down Worldwide Underground, and that they should join him in his quest for revenge. Evans and Lishus seem hesitant, but Ryan is persistent. He tells them that they can take down Johnny Mundo and become the new face of Lucha Underground. They eventually agree to join him, and they make their way to the ring for their match against Worldwide Underground.

In the ring, we see Johnny Mundo, Taya Valkyrie, and PJ Black facing off against Ryan, Evans, and Lishus. The match is intense, with both sides trading blows back and forth. At one point, Ryan hits Mundo with his signature move, the YouPorn Plex, but Mundo kicks out at the last second. The match eventually comes to an end when Mundo hits Ryan with the End of the World, pinning him for the win.

After the match, we see Melissa Santos talking to Fenix backstage. She confronts him about his recent behavior, and he tells her that he is taking a new path. She is skeptical, but he assures her that he knows what he is doing. As he walks away, Melissa seems unsure about what to make of their conversation.

Back in the ring, we see Marty “The Moth” Martinez facing off against Vibora. Martinez is clearly shaken by the presence of Vibora, and he spends most of the match running away from him. Vibora eventually catches up to him, and he hits him with his finishing move, the Snake Strike, pinning him for the win. As Martinez lies in the ring, defeated, we see Mariposa watching from the sidelines, a satisfied smirk on her face.

The episode comes to a close with a teaser for the next episode, where we see Dario Cueto making a shocking announcement. He tells the crowd that he has found a new, even more dangerous way to bring the Temple to life, and that he will reveal it to them in the next episode. The suspense is palpable, and fans are left eagerly anticipating the next installment of Lucha Underground.
