Ep 8. The Crash

In Mad Men season 6 episode 8 titled "The Crash," the advertising agency, Sterling Cooper & Partners, is tasked with creating a campaign for the Chevy Vega. However, things take a turn for the worse when the agency receives an injection of a mysterious drug, causing everyone to become increasingly erratic and paranoid.

Meanwhile, Peggy Olson and Ted Chaough are working on a campaign for St. Joseph's aspirin, but they also start to feel the effects of the mysterious drug. Peggy becomes convinced that there is a rat in the office, and Ted begins to behave erratically, almost causing an accident during a client meeting.

As the day progresses, the effects of the drug become more severe, causing chaos in the office. People are running around, screaming, and some even start to disrobe. The creative team is unable to focus on their work, and the office is in complete disarray.

Eventually, Don has a breakthrough and comes up with a brilliant concept for the Chevy Vega campaign. However, the team is still struggling to focus, and chaos ensues once again. In a rare moment of vulnerability, Don opens up to Peggy about his difficult childhood and the guilt he feels over his brother's suicide.

The episode ends with Don, Peggy, and the rest of the team still feeling the effects of the drug as they leave the office in a daze, unsure of what had happened. "The Crash" is an intense and surreal episode that showcases the fragility of the characters and the unpredictability of life.
