Most Haunted is a British paranormal reality TV series that explores haunted locations with resident show psychic Derek Acorah and his team of investigators. Season 12 episode 7 titled "The Southern Mansion" sees the team investigate a large Victorian mansion in the United States.

The Southern Mansion is located in Cape May, New Jersey, and is believed to have been built by George Allen in the late 19th century. It was later purchased by a wealthy Philadelphia family who used it as their summer retreat. The mansion is now a bed and breakfast and is believed to be haunted.

The team meets with the owner of the mansion who tells them about some of the paranormal activity that has been experienced on the property. Guests have reported seeing apparitions, hearing unexplained noises and experiencing a general feeling of unease. A previous owner of the mansion is said to have committed suicide in one of the bedrooms, and it's believed that her ghost still lingers in the house.

The team begins their investigation by splitting up into smaller groups and exploring different parts of the mansion. They start in the grand dining room where they conduct a séance. Derek Acorah, the resident show psychic, makes contact with a spirit who tells him that she is the ghost of a former servant who used to work in the mansion. She reveals that she died in the house and has been trapped there ever since.

The team then moves to the drawing-room where they use various pieces of equipment to try and capture any paranormal activity. They set up cameras, EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) recorders, and EMF (electromagnetic field) detectors to try and capture any evidence of the ghostly presence.

One of the team members, Gregg Smith, reports feeling a cold draft and hearing unexplained noises in the room. He describes feeling as though he is being watched by someone or something that he can't see.

The investigation continues on to the upper floors of the mansion, where many of the bedrooms are located. The team spends time in the room where the previous owner is said to have committed suicide, hoping to make contact with her spirit. Derek Acorah picks up on a strong energy in the room and reports feeling a presence that he believes may be the ghost of the woman who died there.

Throughout the investigation, the team captures various pieces of evidence that suggest the mansion is indeed haunted. EVP recordings reveal strange, disembodied voices, and EMF detectors pick up on strange energy spikes that can't be explained. The team also captures several pieces of photographic evidence, including images of orbs and unexplained flashes of light.

As the investigation comes to a close, the team discusses their findings with the owner of the mansion. They tell her about the various pieces of evidence they have captured and share their thoughts on the paranormal activity present in the mansion.

Overall, Most Haunted season 12 episode 7 provides a fascinating look at an allegedly haunted Victorian mansion. With the help of Derek Acorah and his team of investigators, viewers are taken on a spine-tingling journey through one of the United States' most haunted locations.
