Ep 20. Elvaston Castle

On this episode of Most Haunted, the team ventures to Elvaston Castle in Derbyshire, England. This gothic mansion has a storied history dating back to the 16th century, with famous architects and landscapers having contributed to its ever-changing appearance over the years. The castle is now a public park, but the spirits of its past residents are said to still linger, making it a perfect location for a ghost investigation.

Presenter Yvette Fielding and her team begin by exploring the outside of the castle, where they see a large stone statue that is said to be a hot spot for paranormal activity. As they investigate, they hear strange noises and get the sense that they are not alone. They then head inside the castle, where they split up into smaller groups to cover more ground.

Some of the team members go into the Banqueting Hall, where they hear unexplained banging and see shadows moving along the walls. They try to communicate with any spirits present using various equipment such as EMF meters and spirit boxes, but the responses are faint and hard to interpret.

In another part of the castle, one team member feels a physical presence and is touched on the back. They quickly try to document the incident, but struggle to capture anything definitive on camera.

As the night wears on, the team regroups to share their findings and discuss what they have experienced. They are surprised to discover that many of them have similar stories of unexplained activity and sense that the castle truly is haunted.

In the final segment, the team performs a séance to attempt to communicate with any spirits still present. They hold hands and focus their energy, asking questions and waiting for answers. Suddenly, they hear a loud noise that seems to come from all around them. They break the circle and frantically search for the source of the noise, but find nothing.

The investigation comes to a close, and the team ultimately concludes that Elvaston Castle is indeed haunted. They plan to return in the future to continue their exploration of this spooky location.
