Undeterred, Mr. Bean soldiers on, determined to fix the damage he has caused. He starts painting the ceiling but ends up getting paint all over himself. He then decides to take a break and make himself a sandwich, but accidentally sets the kitchen on fire.

As the chaos continues, Mr. Bean's neighbor, Mrs. Wicket, becomes increasingly frustrated with the noise and mess coming from his apartment. She tries to get him to stop the repair work and hires a professional repairman to fix the damage, but Mr. Bean simply ignores her and continues on with his DIY project.

Finally, after a series of disasters, Mr. Bean manages to finish the repair work. But as he steps back to admire his handiwork, the ceiling collapses, revealing that he has simply covered up the damage with cardboard and duct tape.

Despite the disastrous outcome, Mr. Bean is happy with his work and Mrs. Wicket is finally able to get some peace and quiet. As the episode comes to a close, Mr. Bean settles in for a well-deserved rest, but in typical Mr. Bean fashion, he accidentally knocks himself out with a hammer, bringing the chaos full circle.
