Ep 3. Chapter Three

Jamal's Grandma had been robbed, and Jamal and his friends prove to be a mockery when they express to her that they can help. However, they decide to investigate on their own to see if they can help and find the thieves who took her money. The boys decide to question everyone in the neighborhood who they think might be connected to the robbery. Ruby, one of the boys on the team, suggests they break into the suspects' house to find the evidence they seek. The other members become uncomfortable with the idea, but Ruby clarifies that they don't have to commit this kind of infraction, because he knows where the thieves' stash is.

The group sets out to take the money themselves, but they come up against a wall when they do not know the correct amount of money to take. They cannot ask Jamal's Grandma help without revealing their true motive, so they must find a way to sort things out. Eventually, the team comes up with a comical but creative problem-solving plan.

Meanwhile, Cesar's life becomes more complicated when his older brother, Spooky, returns home from prison. He is offered drugs to sell on behalf of his brother's gang, and he must also turn against his childhood friend because of a gang deal. Despite the danger and conflict, Cesar still cannot resist the appeal of being in a gang and all the power and possessions that come with it.
