Pinky Malinky is a Netflix original animated series aimed at children and teenagers, which premiered on January 1st, 2019. The show follows the titular character, Pinky, a hotdog who is an eternal optimist and dreams of becoming a famous dancer, singer, and actor. He seems to live in a world where humans and anthropomorphic food coexist peacefully.

The show's first episode, Pinky Part 1 & Part 2, introduces us to Pinky and his best friends, Babs and J.T., as they start their first day of high school at Bacon’s Bay High. Pinky is excited about the new experiences he will have in high school, and he is looking forward to discovering new things. He is also determined to make a good impression and to make as many friends as possible.

As Pinky and his friends make their way to school, they encounter some obstacles and bizarre incidents. For instance, they find themselves running late for their first class, and J.T. uses his skateboard to give them a ride. However, the skateboard gets out of control, sends the trio flying into a pink food truck, and covers them with Pinky's favorite topping. They try to wash it off, but it still leaves a trail of pink sauce behind them.

Despite this, Pinky remains optimistic about their situation and insists on continuing with their journey to school. On the way, they meet a group of bullies who make fun of them for being different, and Pinky tries to reason with them. He assures the bullies that he and his friends are just like everyone else and that they should be given a chance. However, the bullies do not listen and continue to harass them.

When they finally arrive at school, Pinky and his friends realize that they are not in the same class. Pinky is disappointed but remains optimistic that he will make new friends. He finally meets a girl named Yana, who is a part of the cool kids' group. Pinky is determined to impress her and befriend her, but things do not go according to plan.

Pinky struggles to fit in with the cool kids, and they make fun of him for being a hotdog. They ask him if he has mustard or ketchup inside, and Pinky is offended. His friends try to cheer him up, but Pinky feels left out and discouraged.

In Part 2 of the episode, Pinky and his friends decide to enter the school talent show, hoping to impress Yana and the cool kids and show off their skills. Pinky wants to do a song and dance number, and Babs and J.T. agree to help him. However, when they start practicing in Pinky's backyard, they attract unwanted attention from Pinky's neighbor, Ms. Mushmore, who is known to dislike hotdogs and wants them off her lawn.

Despite this setback, Pinky and his friends continue to practice, and they come up with an excellent routine. The day of the talent show arrives, and Pinky is nervous but determined to do his best. However, as they prepare to go on stage, Pinky realizes that there is no music for their performance. He hurries to find the sound technician, but when he does, he discovers that his cassette tape is missing.

The trio start to panic and worries that they will be unable to perform. However, Yana comes to their rescue and offers to sing for them, giving Pinky and his friends a chance to dance. The performance is fantastic, and Pinky wins over the audience. Afterwards, Yana thanks Pinky for being different, and the two become friends.
