The 2011/12 Barclays Premier League delivered one of the most unbelievable and unforgettable seasons of the last 20 years. At the top Manchester City piped their city rivals to the title in the final minutes of the final game to prevail on only goal difference after 38 league matches. Newcastle broke up the pack at the top securing European football for the Toon next season. At the bottom one of the most competitive finishes to the end of the season saw Wolves, Blackburn and Bolton fall short.
