Pure Pwnage is a series of "mockumentaries" that follow the lives of Jeremy, a self-professed professional gamer, and his family and friends. The comedy looks at how video games can shape people's lives, for better but mainly for worse. The first episode finds Jeremy under siege from his mother, who cuts off his most prized possession - his internet connection. It only goes downhill from there as our hero finds himself homeless, unable to find a date, losing a game to a complete "n00b" (an unskilled newcomer to a game) and so on. Each "documentary" captures Jeremy and his friends' plight as they try to deal with ordinary life whilst attempting to pursue their gaming passions. The show's main location, the Mouse and Pad Internet Cafe, is memorable in itself. The proprietor and other customers are stereotypical gamer geeks, which results in many satirical situations. They are easy targets for lambasting, and the show does just that. Pure Pwnage was originally produced as an internet-only show, but was later picked up and repackaged by a Canadian TV company.
